Biennial trade show has been rescheduled for 16 – 18 September 2020 (TicketPro Dome), Johannesburg.

WoodEX for Africa and the Deck & Flooring Expos will be held from 16 – 18 September 2020 at the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg. The new date and venue were announced after the expos were postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a media statement the organisers discussed the innevitable postponement: “Our thoughts are with everyone currently impacted by the COVID-19 virus. The safety and wellbeing of all our stakeholders is paramount and with this unprecedented situation unfolding, we have a responsibility to our exhibitors and our visitors to provide a safe place to interact and communicate face-to-face. We already had many exhibitors and visitors who committed to participate in the June event, and we now look forward to a successful and safe gathering in September at the TicketPro Dome.”

The Ticketpro Dome is a versatile venue for special events and exhibitions. Co-located with the African Construction Expo, WoodEX for Africa and the Deck & Flooring Expo will now share the exhibition space over three full days of exhibition and networking, free workshops and live demonstrations.

WoodEX for Africa is an important event for the industry and a fantastic opportunity to network and reconnect after COVID-19. The event brings together suppliers and buyers of equipment, tools, machinery, software and wood products in September at TicketPro Dome, to share innovative solutions.

Stephan Jooste, Director of WoodEX for Africa, says since the inaugural expo was held in 2012, WoodEX for Africa has attracted quality exhibitors and visitors from close to 30 different countries. “In 2020, WoodEX will collocate with two major trade expos, the Deck & Flooring Expo and African Construction Expo, to present the ultimate industry focused trade expo in Africa. We believe this platform is now the ideal target-specific space for exhibitors to differentiate themselves from competitors, increase brand awareness, launch new products and position themselves to drive sales, showcase products and identify leads. These expos are stronger together offering added exposure for exhibitors and visitors in the various industries – from machinery, tools, equipment, fits and finishes, components, new technology and materials to concrete and cement, surfaces and finishes, digital construction and construction.”
