A sneak preview of the latest edition of SA Forestry magazine...

This month, editor Chris Chapman reports back on two events he attended recently (a presentation, hosted by the ICFR, by Dr Bruce Sithole; and the recent Forest Sector Innovation Fund Symposium), which provided an optimistic view of the future of the forest sector despite the global economic decline. At the events, leading scientists and researchers shed some light on the work they are doing in developing new processes, techniques, products and insights. The news places the forest sector at the forefront of innovation and may indeed signal the dawn of an exciting new era.
