PRESS RELEASE

Husqvarna Launches Industry-Leading 5-Year Warranty

Pietermaritzburg, 7th November 2024 – Husqvarna, a leader in outdoor power equipment, has announced a groundbreaking extended warranty offer, providing customers with an unparalleled 5-year warranty on select products purchased alongside qualifying accessories.

"This landmark extension of our warranty to five years demonstrates our absolute confidence in the quality and durability of our products," says Allan Herbert, Service Manager at Husqvarna South Africa. "We're raising the bar in customer protection because we know our equipment is built to last. Additionally, the warranty extension highlights our ongoing commitment to innovation, service excellence, and customer satisfaction. It's not just about delivering superior products but an exceptional ownership experience too."

Effective 15 October 2024, customers who purchase select Husqvarna and Husqvarna Aspire products will benefit from an extended warranty option, increasing the standard 1-year coverage to 5 years. This is contingent on the purchase of qualifying accessories at the time of sale. Various other Terms and Conditions apply which can be viewed on our website (address below) or you can speak to your nearest dealership.

Important to note is that electric Pressure Washers will retain their 1-year warranty and their accessories only qualify for a 6-month warranty.

Qualification Requirements

Allan explains that to take advantage of the extended coverage, just a few simple steps need to be followed. “ Your local dealer will explain the relevant qualification requirement for the product you wish to purchase according to our Terms and Conditions. You must ensure that you purchase the relevant accessories at the same time as your product. The dealership will then register everything on the Husqvarna Support Site Warranty Portal and you will be issued with a warranty card.

Whether you acquire your Husqvarna product from a dealership or online, be sure to keep your sales invoice, which should list both the product and any accessories, for warranty claims. Also, hold on to the Warranty and Service Handbook that comes with your purchase as you must produce it and ensure it is signed by the dealer after each service. Very important to note that the new 5-year warranty applies only to products used as intended.

Delivering Value

"The introduction of this comprehensive warranty programme reflects our deep understanding of what matters most to our customers," adds Allan. "By pairing genuine Husqvarna accessories with our equipment, customers aren't just extending their warranty – they're optimising their equipment's performance and ensuring years of reliable operation. This is about delivering value that extends well beyond the initial purchase."

Paul Fenton, a Husqvarna dealer in Kloof, KZN notes, “The extended coverage is an innovative offer that shows Husqvarna's commitment to quality. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and it's clear that people appreciate the added confidence it brings when investing in our products."

To explore their extensive product range and take full advantage of the new extended 5-year warranty, Allan encourages customers to either visit the Husqvarna South Africa website at https://www.husqvarna.com/za/support/warranty-policy/ or visit their local Husqvarna dealer. “Experience the quality and reliability of Husqvarna products firsthand and enjoy the confidence that comes with industry-leading warranty protection,” he concludes.
